Taking Inventory

On the quest to living a more energy centered life, it is important to begin developing awareness of what things make you lose your center. Maybe it's watching too much violent T.V. or you have a friend who is constantly berating you. I know I personally get really anxious and jittery if I have too many cups of coffee on an empty stomach. Whatever it is, it's important to begin to develop awareness of these things, and begin to either change how much you consume these things or the role they play in your life.
Maybe you try only watching happy things after a certain hour, or you begin to reconstruct the relationships in your life to be more fulfilling. It can be hard to figure out just exactly what is causing you to feel more stressed out, or what exactly it is that's causing all that tension in your shoulder. However, that's exactly why we highly recommend daily practices like yoga and meditation.
It's impossible to perform optimally if your life is in some way out of balance. Whether that's your diet causing your body extra stress, your personal relationships, or how much you're working, it's important to know where you need to focus your attention. This approach isn't just about raising your professional performance, but your quality of life as a whole.
