Were you in mourning?
Did the alarm shriek,
and the birds screech?
Your partner nagged.
The whole day was a drag.
Everyone you passed leered,
and when you walked into work everyone jeered.
Sometimes it's hard to see the true meaning of things,
but it all starts when you instead hear the birds sing.
